What is a Résumé and why do I need one?
A résumé is a marketing tool designed to get you an interview. If you do not have a professional-looking résumé that sells you and your skill-set, you will probably not get an interview.
A résumé shows a hiring manager what skills and experience you have to offer. It should also show your achievements and what extra value you bring. A short list of your work experience and education is usually included.
The care with which a résumé is written is part of your marketing strategy. Correct grammar and spelling and easy-to-read formatting will show a potential employer that you really do communicate well and pay attention to details.
Is a Cover Letter required?
A cover letter is definitely required. While some employers may not read cover letters, many will not even look at your résumé without one. The purpose of your résumé is to exhibit your skills and experience; the purpose of the cover letter is to show, in detail, what value you will add to a company and to reveal a little of your personality.
Most people who apply for a job are basically qualified. It is the cover letter that will make you stand out from the crowd.

Can Image Consulting help me?
Yes! One purpose of image consulting is to help you learn to dress attractively and appropriately. Everyone, no matter what age, size, body shape or colouring, can look attractive. Once you have established what colours and style make you look your best, the next step is to create a cost-effective wardrobe appropriate for every part of your life – work, home, special occasions. This will ensure that every time you go into your closet, no matter what the situation, there will be something wonderful to wear. Every morning you will realize how much an image consultant helped.
Image Consulting can also help you develop the “soft skills” you need to function within the current North American workplace (and society in general).
What is Coaching?
Coaching is assisting individuals to identify what is most important to them and to align their thoughts, words and actions accordingly. When people identify their core values and what they want personally and professionally, they can begin to make more meaningful and consistent choices.
Coaching begins with an eagerness on the part of the client to accomplish, have or experience something. The coach inspires the client to accomplish the desired result(s) through personalized support.

Is Coaching over the telephone effective?
Many clients feel that they can express themselves more honestly in telephone conversations than in face-to-face discussions. Telephone coaching allows the clients to choose a coach that suits their needs, not just one with a practice that is nearby. Telephone coaching creates a dynamic based on energy and interest rather than on stereotypes that are conveyed through visual cues.
How is Coaching different from Therapy or Consulting?
Therapy goes into depth on important issues, often dealing with the past. Consulting is information/expertise-oriented giving the clients answers to specific external questions. Coaching is action-oriented and focuses primarily on the present and future. Coaching enables the client to determine “answers” based on work done in the coaching partnership.
